The Ballard Elementary PTO is a group of parents and teachers coming together on a monthly basis to plan fundraising activities to support Ballard East and West Elementary schools.

Meetings:
Held at 6:30 p.m. every 2nd Tuesday of the month in the Middle School Teachers Lounge, (509 North Main Huxley Iowa)

Fund Raising:
1. Our major fundraising event occurs every fall with a catalog order campaign
2. We collect Box Tops (.10 cents per box top) and Campbell Soup Labels
3. McTeacher night

How we support to the schools and community:
1. Provide a Conference meal for teachers once in the fall and once in the spring to allow teachers and parents to discuss their student's progress
2. Community events providing students and families an opportunity to come together. Past events have included carnivals and father/children events for mom’s night out.
3. Buy supplies for teachers
4. Teacher appreciation week in May
5. Flu shots for teachers to help keep classrooms healthy for students
6. Insect Zoo for 1st grade
7. Purchased a laminator to be used for student projects and classrooms
8. Damp Chasers for music classrooms
9. Cricut machines, new cutting mats, blades
