On November 18th and 19th, the Senior English classes took a significant step towards their future as they participated in mock interviews as part of their College and Career Readiness unit. This exciting event provided our students with invaluable experience in a professional interview setting, helping them prepare for the challenges that lie ahead after graduation.

The mock interviews were designed to simulate actual job or college admission interviews. Our seniors faced a panel of interviewers composed of community volunteers, and this setup allowed students to practice their communication skills, learn how to present themselves confidently, and get a taste of what to expect in real-life interview situations.Through this experience, our seniors had the opportunity to work on several crucial skills:

1. Professional Communication: Students practiced articulating their thoughts clearly and concisely.

2. Body Language: They learned the importance of maintaining eye contact, proper posture, and a confident handshake.

3. Self-Reflection: The interviews encouraged students to think about their strengths, weaknesses, and future goals.

4. Stress Management: Facing an interview panel helped students develop strategies to manage nervousness and perform under pressure.

After each interview, students received constructive feedback from their interviewers. This personalized guidance will help them improve their interview skills and boost their confidence for future opportunities.
