The Ballard Community School District is pleased to announce a new high school principal has been hired pending board approval at the Monday, March 10th meeting.

Mr. Brian Moretz has accepted the job after formal interviews with students, staff, parents and the administrative team on March 5th.  Brian was thrilled to accept the job, saying, “I am excited to get to work with all the students, staff, and community at Ballard Nation!  I’m eager to bring my experience and skills to help continue their growth as a high school.”

Brian has over 19 years of leadership experience and currently serves as the High School Principal at Alburnett Community Schools.  Moretz has implemented innovative programs such as 3DE National and Junior Achievement partnerships to enhance real-world learning for students. Superintendent Dr. Dani Trimble wanted to thank Mr. Chris Deason for his many years of dedicated service to the Ballard School District.  She said, “Mr. Deason has provided strong leadership for Ballard High School for many years, and was very helpful in showcasing our district throughout the hiring process.  I am excited to welcome Brian to our district as the next high school principal.  I appreciate his commitment to expanding opportunities for students and collaborating with the larger community.  There are many bright days ahead for BHS.”
